Welcome to 1st Oakville Scout Group

If your child is interested in outdoor, social and leadership activities learning bushcraft, camping, bushwalking, canoeing, abseiling,  cycling; and many more skills, then 1st Oakville Scouts Group is the Group for you and your child.

We encourage parents become involved with their children, to be able to help at the hall and external events such as camps by registering as a parent helper.

Training and support is available for parents willing to take on leader roles.

We communicate via FaceBook ( 1st Oakville Scout Group) and a consent system via email called Events. You'll be sent information emails with links to join us once you are fully registered as a new registration or a returning member.

We meet weekly during the school term and often hold ( optional) camps or training courses on weekends. Weekly meetings may be cancelled if a weekend event is being held.

At the current time we have 4 units operating.

Joey Scout Unit ( at school 5-8 years old) Thursday 6-7pm

Cub Scout Unit ( 8-11 years old) Thursdays 6.00-7.30pm

Scout Unit  (11-15 years old) Thursdays 7-8.30pm times may vary.

Venturer Scout Unit (15-18 years old) Wednesdays  7-8.30pm, times may vary.

If you are new-and you've signed up as a temporary member we give you a trial period of 2 weeks. This can only be used once at one Group. At the end of the trial period you may register and pay as a full member, but leaders will talk to you about this process.
